Lakme Fashion Week is here and it’s bigger and better than ever with renowned fashion designers like Masaba Gupta, Anushree Reddy and many more. A modern flair has been given to all the traditional Indian clothes and we cannot wait to see how the designers are going to revolutionalise Indian Fashion Industry again for the year 2019.
Anita Dogre is a celebrity favourite Designer, this year Tencel India and the designer have collaborated for a collection titled, “A Summer Reverie”. The collection contains a lot of rose gold and aesthetic coloured clothes with intricate designs on them with a lot of floral print and flairs in her collection of Lehenga and sarees.
Designer Punit Balana has given a new print texture to his collection of Indian suits with a lot of contrast designs. The amount of labour hours spent on these designs is just as surreal as the number of celebrities who attends the shows every year. The Bombay, Five-day event was jam-packed with Bollywood’s most wanted Ranveer Singh Singing his Hit song from the movie Gully Boy to Kareen Kapoor leaving everyone awestruck by wearing the black gown of Shantanu and Nikhil, the runway also saw actor Lisa Hayden, Bhumi Padnekar being the showstoppers for designers wearing the most glamorous Lehengas. We are expecting nothing less from the fashion week to be held in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi from October 10-13 this year.
This year the FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) is presenting the “Originator Stockroom”, providing a business-to-shopper platform where the designers can sell off their designs to immediate customers whether it’s old or new. “With form and its thorough cycles, FDCI’s exertion is to expand the ability of IFW and make it an exchange occasion, yet keeping the sacredness of the grandstand,” FDCI President Sunil Sethi said in an announcement.
The collection earlier this year has witnessed the most number of aesthetically pleasing Indian Traditional wear and mind-boggling intricate designs. The modern touch given to these clothes are commendable and we are beyond excited to see what else these designers are preparing to bring to the table in October. We are pretty sure you’ll want all these designs to be in your closet because we want them too!
